Nazima, an entrepreneur from Uzbekistan, is passionate about women’s health and advancing research to reduce the serious and costly health risks that women face in developing countries. She graduated from Leiden University in the Netherlands with a master’s degree in Political Science and later worked for the United Nations as well as asset management companies to attract foreign investment to emerging markets. Like many women, Nazima didn’t know much about breast cancer, but when her mother developed the disease, she realized how middle-aged women in developing nations suffer from a scarcity of adequate medical care.
